Mouse is a nonprofit that gives kids a leg up in our increasingly digital world. Today over 200 high schools in the United States have a Mouse Squad that lets students play an important role in the technical support of their school.

PARK(ing) Day is “an annual, one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens independently but simultaneously temporarily transform metered parking spots into ‘PARK(ing)’ spaces: temporary public parks,” according to the Web site parkingday.org.
It was started in 2005 in San Francisco. On Broadway, two groups set up their green spots; one near Barnard College and the other outside Columbia University.
